In 2026, the Norika celebrates a special birthday – it will be 35 years old. Emerging from the former state potato breeding of the GDR after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Norika has managed to establish itself as a successful breeder over the last 35 years. This applies not only to the united Germany, but also to the most important potato regions in Europe and the international market. Numerous great varieties from the Norika breeding program have contributed to this success – Gala, Goldmarie, Fasan, Albatros, Pelikan, Pirol, Alegria and our new Pommes variety Arthus.
We have also taken this birthday as an opportunity to refresh our corporate design. First and foremost, this includes our new logo, the homepage and our social media presence.
